Fun, Fundraising and Fungus!

That can only mean one thing... it's F week!

Fundraising Focus

Our fundraising focus between now and Christmas is on our Crowdfunder. We are trying to raise money for a new arena surface. The current one is getting past its best and very difficult for the volunteers to walk on, and without volunteers we wouldn't be able to run RDA. There are lots of fun rewards on our Crowdfunder, you can grab a "Vintage Logo Mug", a bag of Manure, a ticket to our Christmas party at the BAWA club and lots more. You don't need to tip CrowdFunder, you can change the amount to 0 in other amount. If we manage to raise £15,000 then Sports England will match it, bringing our total to £30,000, which will go a good way towards a new arena surface. Another way you can help is to share on Social Media. One of the biggest hurdles is visibility, and sharing posts makes a huge difference. Thanks everyone.

Forest Fun!

This week we invited our new Forest School Volunteers for a training session! It was lovely to get out into the woods and they really enjoyed learning how to make fires and whittle mushrooms! Everyone's keen to start running sessions.

We will be running some fun Halloween themed Forest events over the half term. Check out our shop for more details and to book your space!

Fresh Fruit and Veg?

Yes, a bit of a dubious F but hear me out! You may already know that we are a Co-op Community Cause. If you have the app you can choose us as the cause you support and enter a monthly prize draw to win £500 for you and £5000 for us! Win/Win! Excitingly, now we are also a Tesco Stronger Starts Cause! If you shop at Tesco in Thornbury, you can put your blue chips in our box for a chance for us to get £1500! Don't forget to think of us when you shop! Here's Jessica Ennis-Hill to tell you more!

Final Stages of the Renovation

Now everyone is back to lessons you will have noticed how much more light and open the downstairs is, as well as more accessible. Over the next couple of weeks we will be having automatic doors fitted and hopefully a new kitchen. Then we will be well and truly open for business, selling tea and coffee in our accessible downstairs café! Watch this space for a grand opening when all the work is complete!
