Donations, Decorations, Discounts and Disability Confident!!

It's working! This week's newsletter is sponsored by the letter D and the number 70!

This is going to be a weekly theme now, so let me have your ideas for E topics next week!

Donations

Thank you so much to everyone who have supported Cricket's dentist appeal. With your help we are almost half way to covering the cost! We understand that times are tight, and not everyone can afford to donate, especially now Christmas is just around the corner (that's right, I said it!). But did you know that there are other ways to donate to us, without directly costing you any extra?

  • Clothes donations. - We still get money for old clothes! As long as they are in a wearable condition you can bag them up and bring them in! Bags2Schools then pays us directly for the clothes! Have a clear-out and support your favourite charity (you know it's us).

  • Easyfundraising. - Yes, I know that's an E - I may reiterate it next week! If you're doing your Christmas (or any other type of) shopping online, you can sign up for Easyfundraising - shop via their site, and we get a % donated at no extra cost to you!

  • Co-Op Community Fund. - We are the Co-Op Community Fund's chosen charity so if you're a Co-op member you can choose us as your cause! The more people who choose us and use their Co-op membership card when shopping, the more we get at the end of the period! And if giving to us wasn't enough of an incentive, every month there's a prize draw where you could win £500 and we could win £5000! Find out more here. If you're not already a member, it's really easy to join!

Decorations (Christmas)

If you have more Christmas Decorations than you know what to do with, we can help! On December 1st we are holding our Avon Winterland and we want to be so festive! Bring us your tinsel, your baubles and any fairy lights you may have, we will give them a very good home! And if you would like to volunteer on the day you can sign up here.

Discounts!

As you know, we have a Teemill Shop! This weekend is Freepost weekend, and on top of that you can have £5 off £70 with the code FIVEOFF until the 10th of November! Why not treat yourself to one of our new jog suits, or a Shetland Bundle?

Disability Confident

We are very proud to announce that we are now a Disability Confident Committed employer. This is another step in our journey to become a user led charity and we are delighted to be making it.

Determination

I know, this is a very loose D, but I'm nothing if not committed to a theme! Today we ran a fun Countryside Challenge Competition for our riders and others throughout the region. It was a really lovely day and I got to be the Farmer (at least at the end!). Gill's full CC report will appear in next week's newsletter.

Down-Time!

We are really taking this D thing seriously. Don't forget that EC Pro will be out of action on Monday. That means if you haven't booked and paid for your RDA Term 2 lessons yet you need to do it Sunday at the latest. Please make sure you do it in good time so we know to expect you for your lesson.

Finally the number 70!

This week John celebrated his 70th birthday! He's worked with us for over 20 years and we were delighted to be able to share his special day with him. Happy Birthday John.
