Pre covid, half term Friday was a traditional day for RDA competitions and on Friday 25th February our dressage competition was back! It was the first we had held since October 2019!

There was a lot to celebrate; the sun shone and there was cake! There were riders representing Avon, Saxon, Wellow and Lyncombe Lodge RDA Groups and we were all keen to showcase what our RDA riders had been able to achieve through the very challenging time of the pandemic.

We weren’t disappointed. Coaches, volunteers and family members witnessed some great riding and everyone enjoyed a super day.

An Avon Trustee watched the competition and said “Good to see the superb efforts from organisers, coaches, riders and their families to host and support a wonderful dressage event. I really felt the sense of occasion, and the participants were truly inspirational”.

Well done everyone…….we are already looking forward to the next one.
