Huge Well Done!

To everyone who competed in our fun Countryside Challenge this recent half term. Gill's round up, and photos below:

I think we were all a little disappointed to see that rain was forecast for our Countryside Challenge Competition on Friday, but in the true RDA spirit everyone was smiling and carrying on, of course!

It was great to meet up again with riders, parents, their Coaches and volunteers from Llyncombe Lodge, Saxon and Wellow Groups. It always adds a lot of fun to these competitions when other groups in our area take part, alongside our own riders.

Everyone did very well and the ponies were looking their best, even after they were caught in showers at times….

We actually managed to do all four prize giving presentations outside, in front of the main building amazingly – between the showers.

Well done to everyone who took part, whether this was your first competition or you were seasoned competitors.

We couldn’t of course run these events without the support of all our volunteers, including Paula and Dawn in the café, and the staff for preparing our horses so well.

Our final thanks must go to Sue Mack and Alison Parker who both travelled a long way to Judge all day for us!

Sophie needs some kitchen equipment for the forest school. If you have any that you think you might be getting rid of, please think of us! We can put them to good us!

Horses!

Maybe a bit obvious for us, but this is an exciting one! Today we welcomed two new members to our equine family today! Meet Toby and Tango! Toby is a new acquisition, and Tango is on loan. They look like twins, but can you guess who's who?
