It's C week here on the blog, so how timely that we are celebrating everyone who took part in the RDA National Championships! It was a scorcher, but this did not dampen the enthusiasm, Gill's report and results below:
Championships Results
Well, despite the very high temperatures forecast for the whole three days of competition, the Avon Team performed really well as always! A huge thank you to everyone that came up to Hartpury and helped - our staff Cat, Leah, Isa and Freya and every single coach and volunteer, especially Emma who was there every day.
The horses all coped well with the temperatures and really looked after their riders, including the four who were participating for the first time at the Nationals this year: Matthew, Jocelyn, Faye and Lucy-May – well done all of you. It was so good to be able to welcome some new riders joining the team this year!

· Complete a paper version of the current survey, collected from your local library
· Request an Easy Read copy, coming soon, to complete and return within six weeks.
Easy Read
They are expecting the Easy Read version to be available by Friday 25 July and open for six weeks. Once completed, it can be returned by email, post, or to a North Somerset Library, by the Easy Read survey closing date.
Let them know! Please let them know by the end of Monday 21 July 2025 if you would like an Easy Read version of the survey emailed to you to print off and complete.
About the North Somerset Transport and Travel Survey – Summer 2025
· The survey is a quick check-in to invite people to share how they currently travel, and what, if anything, would enable them to choose cleaner, healthier or more sustainable forms of transport and travel.
· It is aimed at anyone who lives, works or studies in, or who regularly visits, North Somerset, who are aged 18 or over.
· Survey responses will help to spark a wider conversation later this year about what a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable transport and travel network should look like for North Somerset.
· Anyone who completes the survey within the timeframe can also choose to enter a prize draw to win one of five £50 shopping vouchers.

Cool Ridings
C week is a great opportunity to share this brilliant video by Professor Green who went to visit Lydia and the other members of Cool Ridings. The video highlights the importance of diversity and representation on sport. We are incredibly proud to have worked with Cool Ridings, and to have Lydia as a member of our Board of Trustees. We hope to be able to work with them again in the future.
Coming to the yard?
Just a quick reminder that our building work starts next week, so most of the main building won't be accessible. We will have portaloos on site and lessons will take place outside. If you aren't sure feel free to give us a call, we'll be here!
If you're looking for some fun, accessible days out over the summer, Bristol Autism Support's newsletter have you covered! Click here to read it.
Have a great summer everyone.
